We’re about to start a journey about one amazing snack that we three love the most……Kaya Toast!

Kaya Toast is a well-known snack in Malaysia which will be found in most coffee houses. Kaya is a topping of sugar, coconut milk, eggs and pandan. Kaya can be categorized into two varieties which are Nyonya Kaya and Hainanese Kaya. Nyonya Kaya is of a lighter-green colour which contains more pandan, and Hainanese kaya which is a darker brown kind that uses caramelised sugar. It is generally served on toast. Some kaya toast have a small piece of butter in it while some don’t have.As Malaysians, we love to pair it with soft boiled egg with a little soy sauce and white pepper. This will be a great breakfast to kick start the day! Let us move on to the first journey of Kaya Toast :)
