7. Ah Hong Kopitiam
Ah Hong Kopitiam has two branches in Johor Bahru which one is located in Taman Sutera Utama while another one is located in Taman Mount Austin. Today, we visit the branch that located in Taman Sutera Utama.
Ah Hong Kopitiam is a corner shop lot which is not difficult to find. When we stepping into the kopitiam, waiter serves us with menus effectively. Dining area was separated into two area which are indoor and outdoor. People who like to enjoy meal with air-conditioning can choose to sit indoor are while people who wants to smoke can choose outdoor table.
Ah Hong Kopitiam has offered wide variety of set meal with slightly expensive price. Therefore, we decided to order a piece of kaya toast and cup of 'kopi'.
After waiting for more than ten minutes, kaya toast and coffee were finally served. We were unsatisfied with the speed because most of the cafe or kopitiam were serving the dishes within 10 minutes.
Foods of Ah Hong Kopitiam is quite normal, neither with delicious kaya toast nor good coffee. The kaya toast served was not crunchy and the jam is tasted like "sugar jam" rather than kaya because it lack of kaya taste. Besides, the 'kopi' was also does not provide decent taste. Overall, we were not recommending this kopitiam to those kaya toast lover and coffee lover because the taste is so-so and not worth for the price.
